I am customizing a guitar with a lot of different tones, but the most important one is the jazz neck pickup – I want that mellow, chimey, bell-like Jazz guitar sound, primarily for solo jazz. I am currently using a dearmond jazz pickup in the neck, and it sounds pretty darn good. I am wondering if Gibson Classic 57′s or another jazz pickup would work even better. Eager to hear thoughts and/or suggestions.
